Developed by expert biomechanists at the CENTER FOR HUMAN PERFORMANCE at London’s South BankUniversity,

FitFlops load your leg muscles more while you’re wearing them. In clinical testing, wearingFitFlops has been shown to trigger

SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASEDGLUTEAL MUSCLE RESPONSE,INCREASED HAMSTRING RESPONSE AND INCREASED CALF MUSCLE RESPONSE.

INDEPENDENT STUDIES WITH LEADING UK

ATHLETIC BIOMECHANISTS CONFIRM:

The unique tapered softer midsole structure of the FitFlop boosts overall leg muscle activity, reduces joint strain, increases calf muscle efforts, and extends the activation time of certain muscles your rectus femoris and gluteus maximus muscles during every single step.

"The patent-pending 'microwobbleboard technology' in the FitFlop was developed by Dr David Cook and Darren James at the Center for Human Performance at London South Bank University." The FitFlop midsole extends the amount of time that the slow twitch muscles are engaged during each step [by approximately 10-12%]. Slow twitch muscle fibers produce energy by converting fats into energy aerobically.

So FitFlops as fat burners?

Every step you take in the FitFlop helps tone and trim your legs.Conventional footwear is designed to keep the foot stable so the muscles are more relaxed.

The FitFlop destabilizes the foot slightly, creating a more continuous tension in the supporting muscles of the foot and leg.

FitFlops absorb shock and reduce joint strain, and mimic barefoot-style walking, but better.

Every step you take in your FitFlops improves your core muscle strength, absorbs shock on your feet, knees and back, encourages better posture and stronger muscles, burns calories, mimics barefoot walking, but with a little bit more of a challenge, can help reduce cellulite and slim and tone your thighs, gets you that much closer to having longer, leaner looking legs, improves muscle tone, strengthens and tones muscles in the feet, legs, buttocks, stomach and back, and increases muscle activity & circulation.

The FitFlop has the potential to increasemuscle activity in terms of duration and workload. As such, we recommend that the FitFlop be used progressively to avoid excessive muscle soreness.

These are GREAT! I've have been wearing them ALL OVER town! On walks, to the mall, to the gym, grocery store - you can really feel the work out from wearing these - I don't know why someone didn't come out with something like this before! You have to WALK - why not get the benefit from a work out and get a little toner from it with our even thinking about it - you can really feel the work out and I agree with Judy - it's a good sore feeling - you know it's working - I can tell my legs and behind are getting firmer and toner! Most flip flops kill my feet - these are the most comfortable flip flops I have worn! Definitely worth $49 - can get them at Macy's!

"I love these! I only got mine over a week ago, but I can definitely tell that they are working.
I've been wearing them when I go for my walks in the morning. I can feel it in my legs and back end.
My buns are sore...it's the good sore that tells you these are working! These are one of the most comfortable
flip flops that I have worn.
My feet do not get sore at all after my walk. It feels like I am walking in regular shoes.
I have the red ones and they match with just about anything.
One very important thing is that I also notice that my back does Not hurt after wearing these while I do my walks.
And this is from someone that has had back surgery. Normally my back aches for a bit after my walks... not with these!
I now wear these everywhere! GREAT PRODUCT!!"
These fit flops live up to all the hype! Yes they are making my legs stronger and my back end tighter :)

Highly Recommend these FitFlops!!

I got to try a pair of the red & white FitFlops (shown above) and I LOVE these. Even though it's like winter in the Northeast, these make the perfect alternative to wearing slippers around the house.

I have a pair of MBT's that I wear when out & about for long walks, but I prefer FitFlops because they don't feel as though you're wearing 20 pounds on your feet and they're super-comfortable. Light, cushioney and I don't get comments about how weird they look like I have with my MBT's.
FitFlop's also don't make you feel as though you're rocking & rolling as much either.

They look nice and most importantly, tone up the legs with each & every step you take.

I'd heard these run big, and I'm usually between a 7.5 and 8 -- but the 8 was the perfect size for me. There's no way I could've gone down to the 7's.

If you're going to buy some flop's for an upcoming vacation, these are highly recommended!
