Móa – a must for the entire family!

The all-purpose, all-natural, miracle green balm, made in Iceland.

This amazing balm nourishes the skin, leaving it smooth, supple and revitalised. Kiss goodbye to dry skin complaints! Móa has even proven effective in treating various other conditions from burns to scarring …and it contains 100% organic herbs.

The Móa story
This 100% natural, miracle green balm recipe was passed down to Thury Gudmundsdóttir by her grandmother, famous in Iceland for her herbalist expertise. As a child, Thury would watch her grandmother (whose skin was soft and supple well into her nineties) as she boiled up the herbs in an enormous saucepan and eventually she was taught the secret age-old recipe. Móa gets its name after the wise woman, who understands the power of the moors, or in Icelandic, móans.

The remarkable healing properties of this simple green balm have been witnessed for generations, however the balm’s full potential had not been realised until Thury used the balm to treat her eldest son’s third degree burns. His severe burns covered about 40% of his body and although doctors predicted he would be physically handicapped for the rest of his life and would never be able to move normally due to the tightness of his skin, Thury never gave up. She started to apply Móa religiously to the affected areas and, little by little, her son made a remarkable recovery that astounded doctors and dermatologists alike…a miracle formula was born

Review:

This is such a different and innovative product.. I started using this to cleanse my face at night.. The process is simple.. I used a pea sized amount of the balm, rubbed it in my hands till it became a clear liquid then applied to my face by rubbing all over, including my eye lids, then I ran the provided muslin cloth in hot water and placed it over my face.. It immediately opens pores and allows the balm to really set it.. This step is repeated then I was done..

It's a simple enough process and it totally removes all the makeup I wear.. I haven't used it on mascara at all but it does take off all my eye makeup.. It's got a real organic scent, but has a hint of cocoa to it and this means it's pleasant to me! I find that this cleanser really deposits a lot of needed moist to my skin.. When I am done cleansing my face is SO soft, I mean just had a facial, Baby's Bum, velvety soft.. There is no foaming or lather to this system it's like an oil cleanser, like Shu Uemora's.. My skin has responded to the Moa really well. I have had no break outs or sensitivity.. I can't wait to see what's next for the Moa family..

Also this is PERFECT for ragged cuticles.. I use the smallest amount rub it and push them back with an orange stick, they are much soft and the skin looks hydrated too.. I use the smallest amount to avoid my fingers from becoming greasy..

One other thing.. if you have an dry areas of skin, this is a wonder balm, it instantly hydrates and makes the area smooth and soft.. There are a lot of other uses for Moa but these are the ways I have used it so far.. A great product that is REALLY effective!!

This is some awesome stuff that can be used just bout anywhere. I find it helpful on sore spots on my feet. and it really helps soften up my dry spots on my heels, and helps moisturize my dry elbows and knees. I have used it on my dry cuticles and it makes them soft and my nails look amazing. I have used it on mild burns from my terrible cooking abilities and it relives it. It is not greasy You I think we're well into 'what can't it do? Don't know it is a very interesting Balm that has so many uses that I highly recommend. Also it has an organic smell that is not to overpowering and doesn't stay with you.

I tried the green balm as a cleanser and it leaves my face feeling soft, smooth and refreshed. It is supposed to improve circulation and exfoliate your skin as well. I used the green balm as a moisturizer and the results were nothing short of miraculous. I used a tiny bit on my elbows and knees and the next day the dry, flaky patches were gone. I couldn't believe how quickly I saw and felt an improvement in those areas. I tried it on my heels and was delighted to be rid of the rough skin. Lastly I used in on my sunburn and it was instantly soothing and effective in healing. Great product with so many uses.

Moa

New postby Indoors on Fri Aug 03, 2007 7:02 pm

This product really surprized me. I had a bunch of dry flaking on my chin from using a prescription retinoid and then exfoliating the next day (dumb I know). I was confident from reading the ingredients that this balm was moisturizing, but unbelievably the dry patch and peeling disappeared in 4 hours! I've also used this on my hands w/ great results.
